Sparkle: Late last year I sent up a demo CD of some young Smithers composers’ tunes with a lot of balloons and a couple of tubes of sparkle. The tunes were a hit – the balloons were a hit. The sparkle – impossible. Any place they could have used it, they would have got sued! WAAAAAY worse than confetti. So the kids saved it. Right after finishing the bedtrack recording for the VYF album up in Smithers, we went for a big barbeque…. A gaggle of kids gathered up on the hill at a certain point. I looked at them and thought to myself – “If this wasn’t Smithers, I would say that those kids are up to some trouble.” Well, moments later, they charged down the hill and dumped ALL of the sparkle on me. I was washing it out for weeks.
