Different Shoes: Lisa Conway, one of my longtime students up in Smithers, is a musician in her own right. I played at her CD release (The Tubeless Girls) and in her honour, I wore two different shoes. Lisa is someone with a fairly unusual and forward thinking sense of fashion. She is one of the very few people I know who will wear two different shoes. It drives people crazy! Tattoos, piercings, ripped clothes, different socks – all of that seems to be ok with people. But two different shoes drive people around the bend somehow.
